Sunday Dinner

October 25, 2009

We’ve had a busy weekend doing jobs around the new house. We’ve done a lot in the garden..but it’s too dark to show pictures of that, but I will do those at another time. We also had some retail therapy yesterday.. we bought a new trendy Siemen’s fixed line telephone that you can download MP3’s and photo’s to via Bluetooth from the ‘puter..so when peeps call you can see them and give them their own ringtone. The standard ringtone has been set to the Dexter theme tune :-). We also bought plants, herbs, power adaptors and boring stuff like that..but still spent a lot !

After inspiration of my mate Jeremy’s sunday feasts I decided to do something special today.

In our super combi-steam oven (see pics on previous post) I decided to make a Shitake Mushroom and Chicken ‘n Chive Quiche…ta da..

The photo was taken when it was still piping-hot from the oven. We had it with steamed potatoes, homemade ceasar salad and a nice Croatian white !! Yummy !

I actually made two quiches…one for us and one to take to work tomorrow as it’s a colleagues 40th birthday and we’re all bringing stuff in to pig out on during the day !!

That looks TASTY! Glad you’re getting settled into your new digs. Nothing says settled like cooking a larger meal and enjoying the food, the company and the setting. Congratulations.

Thanks also for the shouty poot. I love it.
