#NoGod or #knowGod et al

October 21, 2009

I was going to write up a long blog on yesterdays events on Twitter…but there’s no so much coverage and been some great posts written about it that I’ll just link to them instead.

First – Attempts at Rational Behavior

Second – The Mad Skeptic

Third – Lousy Canuck

Fourth – The New Atheist

One thing that has come to light though is that most Christians (or the religiously-afflicted as I like to call them) got very upset and filled the twitterverse with such downright hatred that it was shocking (prime examples here and the worst here). Most atheists had some good natured fun and got a lot of abuse back. It reminded me of this cartoon (care of Julie ):-

Typical Christian Responses

Typical Christian Responses

The one thing about this whole ‘event” or “happening” was the utter sneaky craven-ness of Twitter itself…stooping to censorship and joining the #noGod tweets to the #knowGod tweets and effectively neutralising the topic… poor ikkle christianoturds got upset so twitter blocks the subject. There’s a few words for this spineless, craven, sneaky CENSORSHIP.

To finish on a light note..this was probably created for those lovely Catholic Priests who kiddyfiddle and get recalled to Rome to wait on Ratzi the Nazi.

I’m always amazed at how the Xtians are always saying god is love, and how their main man Jeebus was always going on about love thy enemy. Yet what happened yesterday was a prime example of how religion and hypocrisy are not mutually exclusive. What’s worse is the amount of hatred that these god-fearing people were able to muster up over something as insignificant as a trending twitter topic. It is simply remarkable!!

…meaning the light switch. I’ve seen the other comic before, funny but not as funny as the suggestive light switch.

Yeah it is..and it was probably manufactured as a serious object and no-one noticed the placement !!!

That cartoon is great–I actually got it from the Portuguese blog that posted a link to my blog yesterday. So true…

Good post.. Great picture.. I sincerely hope that lighswitch was created by a atheist with a great sense of humor. Tweet soon. @Vizhnet (Still dont see the significance of the whole no god thing, but that’s just me)

Appreciating the persistence you put into your website
and in depth information you present. It’s great to come across a blog every once in a while that isn’t the same outdated rehashed material.
Excellent read! I’ve saved your site and I’m adding
your RSS feeds to my Google account.
