Bigot of the Week follow up

October 19, 2009
tags: ,

Just read on the Guardian website that Jan Moir of the Daily Fail … Sorry .. Mail has had more than 21,000 complaints about her submitted to the Press Complaints Commission. Putting this into perspective this is more than ALL the complaints they’ve received in the past FIVE years in one weekend.

The power of Twitter and social networking is becoming more and more evident. It’s time correct thinking people had a voice again in our democracies.

Now we need to see some positive action from the Daily Mail sack the bigoted wench. I feel a campaign coming on !!!

I suspect she will soon get a phone call from Fox News and get a plane ticket and a new prime-time show airing what a “unique international perspective.”

You’re probably correct..Glenn beck has probably proposed marriage to her already !

Beck is already married…however, he is a Mormon and therefore can probably squeeze in another wife πŸ˜‰

Well on his over inflated salary he could probably afford another 4 wives.

You’ll have seen the article in the Irish Daily Mail effectivley disowning her comments?

I won’t call for her to be sacked, spiteful and unreasoned though her article was. That’s the Daily Mail’s job. She isn’t actually breaking any law: there is no actual incitement to hatred in the article. Actually, I defend her right to say what she wants, provided she faces the consequences. It was wonderful to see the barrage of condemnation – from her own DM readers, showing them capable of thinking for themselves occasionally, a miracle in itself.

I think democracy has to be strong enough to withstand assaults on it, and when you question her on the evidence, logic, she falls to pieces. As Thomas Paine said,’Reason is my oinly weapon, and I trust, I shall use no other…’ I’d take her, and her half-baked crew at the DM on any time, any place, any where πŸ˜‰
